What hangs on my wall is different from what I post online. I've really noticed lately after discovering some great frames on the cheap and printing some more that what I share online is not what hangs on my wall.

Is this the difference between art and technical ability? Do you think we all try to show a median image here that all would appreciate yet we proudly display on our walls what we think only ourselves would appreciate?

You?

Interesting question. I display the images I like on my walls, but generally they are the same images I share here or anywhere online. I think some images may seem better for large printing than others perhaps?

Most of the images that I print out are of my daughter, but are mostly candids. I still go to a studio for portrait shots of her and these are the big ones we hang. I just don't have the knowledge and tools yet to do the studio type work. I have yet to print out any of my landscape shots or any birding shots and hang them. Maybe when my garage gets finished. I share the same photos that I print though.

I'm banned from trying to hang stuff on the wall. I'm only printing for club assignments/set subjects and filling a portfolio.

Hmmmm, Ill tell you in a month, when Im allowed to hang what ever I like on the wall.
However, most of what Iv printed Iv shown here, but, there are a few that I don't think will have mass appeal, so I keep them for myself.

Iv been told I have to marry her before Im allowed to divorce her ;)
Just got our first house though, Im in the middle of stripping some old plaster of the ceilings and painting them white. Then I ill paint the wood grain doors a nice shade of 18% grey, and as many walls as neutral a colour as I can get away with.

I've always aspired to have one of those walls you see in movies... where there are differing frames puzzle worked together all over a wall documenting a life together.

Right now it's just architecture/city shots and Van Gogh on my walls. Bikes and cars mar the fridge :P

I don't have any photos on my walls......... they are covered in various animal cross stitch (like embroidery) designs my mother does.....

in contrast she has a few of my photos of ducks on her walls :)
