My versions of Rothenburg. I'm an "into the light" fan, which may be obvious.
I may retire now John, wait until you've exhauated yourself , then try and out-wow you.

I particularly like that first shot John. Did you take it from the wall?

The second shot hints at all the signs that you photographed, so how about a separate sign thread? What focal length did you use for this shot?

:) It certainly is a lovely village, John. I like the composition of No.2

Yes, it was from the end we came down at.

A possibility indeed.
80mm or near enough.

Very pretty! The more I see of your German adventure, the more I think I need to go there.

Thanks. It's every bit as good (in Bavaria at least) in real life, but our hop over the water is probably a bit more convenient than yours.

That roof was nothing to do with me ......for a change

Germany looks great, even the back streets are clean.

Thanks guys. The South of germany is indeed beautiful. Not only are all the little (and some not so little) towns sparkly and clean, the scenery is stunning, the food is good (as long as you like eating dead animals) and the cake shops are even gooder. (I think John(R) will back me up there). It's relatively cheap, but watch out for the buffet on the ferry (I know John(R) will back me up there!!) if you go from Newcastle. It really is worth a trip.

Lovely shots, John. I agree, little towns in Bavaria are so beautiful and the food...oh, I am hungry now :D
