A70 zoom/teleconverters revisited

A while back there was a thread on availability & output of these & among those discussed or alluded to as being usable on the A70 were the Canon 2.4X, Sony VCL ES20A [2X], Kenko KUT - 500 [5X], Kenko KDT - 60 [6X], Kenko 8*32, CrystalVue 8*32 & a Maksutov 10*32 set up.

Anyone found any other teleconverters or monoculars that fit the A70 adapter & are giving good results?

I found that the only one i could buy in Australia without going online was the canon 2.4X.

Made my decision easy to make.

I do not have an answer, I just would like to reinforce your question to others. I TOO would love to hear some opinion on lens converters that fit the cannon a70 adapter ring. I have seen the names "Opteka", "Digital Optics", "Kenco", "Tiffen" and I suspect I can use other lens converters by "Nikon" or other competitors with the available ring adaptors. It seems to me I would prefer a lens converter that accepted filters, or do I use them between the lens adapter and the lens converter?

U'll need a set up/down right most probally, i looked intot he keno and i think it was tiffen, and that would increase the vigennetion.

Try the kenko filter; they also have the adaptor... I'm not sure what these retail for Down Under. I kinda like the results with a polarizing filter; cuts out the glare/reflection; am looking at taking a lot of pictures of an Ottawa winter.

Hello!!!

After reading this thread I was just about to buy the Kenko KDT 6x lens. Then i noticed that the KDT was advertised as having a 28mm mount..... Whereas the canon a60/70 threads are 38mm???? (or was it 37mm)

Does anyone know if the KDT will actually fit the Canon a60 or a70 ??? Will i need a special adapter??
