i prefer the second and i like the series,
you're quite the artist :)

i'm not much for critque, but the pose doesn't do it for me in either, the first looks like she's really uncomfortable and trying to fit in the frame, and it doesn't do any justice to her legs.
the third is a better pose, but i don't like where her hand it (her left hand)

also, why does the second look to have lens flare but the first doesn't? :\

don't stress about the lack of replies, it's quite tricky to get peoples replies on this forum, but they'll come :)

Thanks for your kind comments, both me and my gf love the series (or triptych as I was advised earlier!). The flare was cloned out the first shot, but only after I noticed it in the second, I'll prob go back and finish it later! I did out her left hand in #3, does look dodgy!

:)

Nah, that's not his photography skills, that's just my thunder-thighs

Good critique though, thank you, Matty.

they aren't thunder thighs, it's just that thighs are possibly the hardest thing to make look in proportion when shooting, try either tensing them, or in that pose where you're left leg is crossing over your right, just lift them off the bed, not so they're actually off the bed, but the pressure is... get me?

pretend theres a realllly fragile piece of thin glass under your knee and you have to keep the pressure off the glass.

doing that stops your legs from relaxing and spreading over your other leg [which evidentally is pressing on your thigh and making it appear alot beefier than it is] (sounds bad, but honestly, everyones does) and should look more in-proportion to your body.

Great advice, mate thanks. This is the sort of thing that really helps because it's so easy to do... and makes the photos so much better.

Sando! Will you stop posting pictures of Rachel in her jamies! A. It's ruining my image of her as a girl guide sitting around a fireplace with the platts and all. B. It's making me tired! C. My wife keeps walking past the computer and biffing me one!:p

The images still look soft somehow. Which camera are you using?

Paul

Paul Lol, I'll take some different ones when I get a new model... which looks unlikey 'cause then Rachel will be biffing me one!!

The camera I have at the moment is a really rubbish one, hence the softness, probably. I seem to only be able to get a sharp image in bright sunlight, with tripod using self timer but never indoors... even after a lot of USM (which doesnt quite work as well as taking a sharp pic in the first place!). IIRC, the first 2 have been softened slightly, the last was run through USM a bit though, and still isnt very sharp! It was hand-held too.

I like the last one (in color) - it shows off her beautiful skin tone :) but, I find the background distracting. The headboard, the pillows, the clothes on the dresser to the right .. and whatever that is growing out of her shoulder ;) ..

On the framed ones - I like the middle one best - very artistic :) and the one on the right is very "fun" :)

In my world. We refer all the models by size. American 0-3 is Petite, 4-7 Lifestyle, and 8+ plus size. These are of course dress size. Most of my clients uses models in the 0-4 size from 5'10 - 6'1.

I am currently trying to build a new book for a different market, around the higher lifestyle size.

Still, I think you are quite attractive, or I wouldn't have even bother commenting. So please take it as a compliment :)

I did, of course. :) It's just my warped English humour coming out ;)

Thanks for explaining about your work though. Sounds very interesting and I'd certainly take you up on your offer if I was your side of the world, could be fun... I could also learn a lot in the process and take lots of tips from you :D

Excellent shots... I really like these. I'm curious if any PP work was done on the skin. The only reason I ask is becuause she has perfect skin and I don't see any evidence of editing. Thanks for sharing.

I can tell you that as I don't know if Sando is logging on today. The answer is yes, there was a bit. We had a problem with red-eye for these shots, so that needed fixing and Sando also very kindly took off some shine from my nose and forehead by cloning. I think a dab of face powder might have fixed that but we didn't think of it at the time. Oh, and as I was a bit mashed at the time, I had a bit of mascara smudge under my eyes which he cloned out as well. There, my secret's out

Thank you for the very kind comments. I've been lucky with my skin so far, give it a few more years and some more bingy nights out though and that might all change......

You never know... I still need to dive the Great Reefs and shark dives in Australia.
Hopefully soon! hahah I'll definitely hit you up when that time comes around.
