Lovely shot-first time I've seen a flower that looks like it's shouting "Yippee"

This is beautiful Gordon. I really like the detail on that bud - and the color is fabulous! Crop/clone out that itsy bottom leave and that giant dust splotch and it simply couldn't get any better! :) The lighting is great - how do you have it setup?

I don't see an itsy bottom leaf or a dust splotch so I assume you fixed that. What I do see is sheer beauty and elegance :D So well done!

Hehe i can see the leaf but the giant dust splotch is escaping me, perhaps my eyes are going ?.
I thought it may be better exposing it on the right as it appears to be facing the wall ?.
Thanks for the encouraging comments :D ...

Such a gorgeous shot - I hope you don't mind. I cleaned up the grey patch of noise on the left and the dust splotch (which is straight up from the leaf, (nearly to the horizontal middle) and straight over from the tip of the bud. See what you guys get for encouraging me to fix my monitor? ;)

I adjusted the levels a bit to make the noise/dust more visible for you. Dust is circled, noise Xed.

Oh yes i see the spot now, i think its where i dropped the lense and there is a dent in it :D.
As for that 2nd image its just a matter of getting a dark back-drop and using a timed exposure ...
