I am trying to work with a bunch of pictures. I want to save all of them for the web and put my name across the picture. I am not trying to do anything else to the pictures yet. Just want them small and with my name on them for sending out to potential customers. Sounds simple enough, but I am at my wits end with this. Been trying to understand the help info from Adobe, but sometimes its like I am reading another language. Is there an easy way to do this?

This should be straightforward. Create an "action" in Photoshop (click on the side arrow on the Actions palette). Then press the "record" button at the bottom of that palette. Do all the actions you want (size the photo, use the text tool to overlay your name). Press the "stop" button on the Actions palette.

After you have recorded the action, you can run it in batch mode on an entire folder/subfolder. Under the "file" menu, go to Automate menu, and run the Batch command. Find the action your recorded, set all the folder options, and let it run!

Hope this helps! Good luck!!

OK, I have got it almost figured out. However, should I not be able to start the process and walk away? I have tried several different ways of doing this and every time after it performs the sizing action then the text action it asks me if I want to save the changes to the file. Why is it doing this? My action list has "text" "sizing" "close" I have also tried "save and close" for the destination and a destination folder. AAARRRRRGGGGG.... PLEASE HELP
