Hi all, i have a small question:
what lens series from tamron, sigma, canon, tokina and other manufacturers will not work on a FF camera?
as far as i know the canon EF-S will not work on FF type. is that right?
my question is becuse i dont want to buy lenses that will not work on an FF camera when i will decied to upgrade to FF (that will take a long time).
i would like to buy lenses that will work for the 30D i have now and for the future FF camera i will have.

thank you all.

canon ef-s
tamron DI-II
anything else that says designed for aps-c

with that said, there are some lenses that are obviously better than others on a FF camera. don't forget that lenses hold their resale value extremely well, and especially if you buy used to start

Sigma lenses with DC in the name are also for APS-C digital only.

Remember, if your future upgrade is a long way off, well-looked after lenses can be sold on for a good price. So you don't need to deprive yourself now just because you have a 1.6 crop camera.
