I have a 10d and was wondering if elements 2 is worth using, I am going to get photoshop 8 when it comes out but I would like to play around whith what I've got for now. Also, can you open RAW files from the 10d in elements? if not , why the hell do they give it to you with the 10d! Thanks, Ian.

No you can't (I would guess, correct me if wrong). Why they would give it away is simple. It's a tool for improving your images. Of course it's a "light" version, but it got enough features to get the new PS-user happy for quite some time I think.

Yes it's worth playing with mainly for adjusting photo's and cropping.
No it can't open raw files and not alot of photographers use raw unless it is for a major print. Enjoy the camera

Even though it's not a 'Photoshop forum' there is a Software forum where we discuss software like Photoshop. There is even a thread talking about whether it is worth installing Photoshop Elements, maybe your question has already been answered...
