I get my copy of a Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG MACRO today and I was hoping to get an answer to the post I made regarding softness. Here is my post on the thread. I don't know if the author is talking about the Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG or the Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG MACRO. Can someone let me know if I might have to send this new lens to Sigma for an update?

What is your question? You get your lens today. You will know as soon as you put the lens on your camera and take a few pictures whether it is acceptable or not.

I wanted to know before I accepted delivery. I did and took a few quick shots at 2.8 and just by looking on my LCD camera screen I am extremely happy. This lens is great except no HSM but I don't plan on sneeking up on anyone when taking pictures.

I found the Sigma wide open a little soft but mine was not the Macro version. I got the Tamron at the time and it was significantly better.

Hope the Macro version is nice.

My copy of the macro is great and well worth the money.
