Exposure bracketing: 1/3 or 1/2 stop increments

I'm new to digital SLR's and I just bought a Canon Rebel XT. Under specifications in the manual it says that exp. bracketing is selectable in 1/3 or 1/2 stop increments. But I can't find how to change the setting. It came from the factory in 1/3 mode, but I prefer 1/2 stop increments. Can anybody help?
