Hey everyone,
I know this is a Canon board but this is a question for a family member in regards to a x-mas present.
My father is looking for an "ultralight" digital camera.
I've never looked at these before, so can anyone give me some direction.
These are some of the ones he has looked up so far:

-Pentax Optio 550
-Canon Powershot s400
-Sony DSC P10
-Minolta Dimage F300

Any other suggestions?
Any pros and cons of these?
I need some inside info!

Thanks everyone..
CMH

I was looking for such a camera recently and ended up with a Canon IXUS400 (Powershot S400).

I'm really pleased with it so far - it's a stylish camera with excellent build quality and has plenty of advanced features, despite it being so small.

I've taken indoor, outdoor, macro and panorama photos and been pleased with all of them.

I also looked at Pentax, Olympus and Sony equivalents but they were all larger cameras and none of them could match the IXUS for features.

Sorry I can't comment on your other suggestions specifically, but if you try out the IXUS400 you'll see why I stopped looking elsewhere !

Mike.
