Calling all Michiganders! (Meet?)

Taking a check on all people from Michigan willing to meet up somwhere this summer. I am not extremely experianced, but I know my fair share. I am willing to team up with somone to get a meet together and go over possible meeting places. I do know we have the Race Weekend posted by PhotosGuy here Michigan, Ohio, Sarnia, Ontario Race Weekend II. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=173652) which will be coming up January 25th. I know everyone is not into racing or cars ( although I am ) so maybe we can have another gig apart from this on an earlier or later date. I do plan on going to the Race though. I'll be there with my rookie equipment with my grey Tamrac backpack screaming "Hey I'm a n00b, where do I go!?" :)

Ideas, suggestions, comments, threads already posted about MI gatherings?

Where are you located? I plan on shooting Grattan Raceway all weekend long this weekend.

Berkley just off of Woodward and 12 mile. I do however have plans for the holiday with family. Where abouts is Grattan Raceway?

It's on the west side of the state about a half hour from Grand Rapids.

ouch thats about 3.5 hours from my current 20. I might have to pass on that one due to such short notice. I wish we just had a list of things here we can look at to see whats going on in each state.
