Probly a Dumb Question

Friend of mine told me canon has a site where you can download firmware updates for the 10d and then install via firewire from your computer. Anyone have the URL? It's probably in the canon book somewhere, but I think I'm brainfarting and can't find it.

The 10D does not have a Firewire connection on it.
Just a USB port. The update your friend is talking about is not really all that neccessary. Go to your user's manual and you will see how to check your Firmware version number. If you bought your 10D in the last two or three months it probably already has the update.

the update is pretty lame. fixes some chinese lettering and something on the 'direct to print' function. i guess it ain't lame if you're chinese.

btw, i just bought my 10d and the firmware is 1.0 on the camera, which isn't the latest (which is the one i mention above)
