Bird ID? Maybe a swallow?

Spent an hour trying to get shots of this guy. This was the only moment in that hour that he actually landed. At one stage he even taunted me by circling my head a few times!

Welcome swallow (Hirundo neoxena)

I do notice a lot of tree martins will flock together with the welcome swallows.

I had assumed the more dull swallows flying about were females, but now that you have said that, maybe they were Tree Martins. Might have to try and capture one with the camera and confirm the ID.

got loads of Swallows over in the uk right now. Its that time of year when they are nest making, got one nesting on the side of our house.
