I doubt that it is an actual font, as it's more likely a proper logo design. You can download dingbats from here (http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=canon)that include the canon logo.

Someone asked about this in the past, and I did some analysis with Acrobat. The fonts used in Canon brochures are proprietary to Canon (from memory, it's the DendaNew family), as is the Canon logo. They're not publicly available, and you cannot reproduce any of this typography without permission due to trademark and copyright protection.

For the Canon Logo there is no font, it has been tweaked over the past 30 years or so to make it look just right ...

For logos, you can use:
Logotypes.ru (http://www.logotypes.ru)
Designer.am (http://logotypes.designer.am/)
Both have vector files to download. :D

No really beleive me, the logos dont use fonts ... I have the Canon style guidelines in front on me and the history of the logo and they both say it ain't a particular font :) I am sure someone might have a scalable vector graphic of it somewhere though ....

Hey no problem. You guys help me with my photography, and I help you to "find stuff". Fair deal. :D
I forgot this good site the first time around: Brandsoftheworld.com (http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/)
They have the EOS and Powershot logos too.
