http://photography-on-the.net/gallery/

I have improved (mostly internally) the engine and added a possibility to have an indivudual workflow for each photo.

The input system in almost finished and I suppose the code will be on delivery in two weeks (the next week now I'm out there in Canary Island Music Festivals so no coding then).

So if you're interested in building a gallery with PHP/MySQL please reply to this and you'll get a beta installer version in two weeks time. Thanks.

Any chance there will be a version for people that don't code? a sort of photo.net type of thing (well with the acception that it looks nice unlike theirs which offers virtually no presentation quality).

EE has private input pages which are very easy to use and very flexible. You don't need to type in any code, or modify the code to get it work for you. Only difference to e.g. photo.net is that EE does not allow uploads via forms, or do thumbs (yet!). I'm positive that if you know anyone who will install it for you and also teach you how to use an ftp program (there a re many good ones which are seamless part of the desktop) you have no problems using EE.

PHP script installation is also very easy, you just upload the files, change database password to one file, and you're set.

When I get back to Finland I'll post some screenshots how it works and you'll get the idea.

It looks excellent and I am very interested in trialling it on my site. The 25th seems to have come and gone with no further news. Is there going to be an announcement soon?

I am happy to have a go at manual install/config if it is just a case of an install methodology not being completed.

Can we help?

Thanks
Jonathan

It's always like this in the software industry :)

I'm now doing some editors for various things, stuff I've used to enter to database via PhpMyAdmin. They should be ready tomorrow. I'd like to finish these before releasing as if people start using PhpMyAdmin etc. there is a change someone messes the db relations and renders whole thing to a messy lock. Decent input pages will take care that database maintains correct relations.

Only 'real' things missing is photo move/copy between exhibitions and still no php upload done.
