I shot this with an angle, I like it but about half the people I have shown it to do not like it. What do you guys think?

Interesting shot, but I'm afraid I'm in the 50% that dont find it overly appealing. Perhaps its just because I'm envious of those people fortunate enough to be in the Bahama's :D

While the subject, setting and lighting is nice, the angle which it is presented here makes it rather uncomfortable to my eye. Please don't take offense, as none is intended; but I have the feeling that many of the 50% that tell you they like the picture are trying to be PC and to tell you what they think you want to hear.

I don't like the angle either, I think it would be quite a nice shot if you had taken it with a level horizon. BTW, which beach is this - if it's on New Providence I'm thinking, maybe Clifton?

It is a freeport beach behind the Island Seas resort.. I have the same shot with a level horizon, my initial thought was that the angle would give it a little drama... I still like the shot, I will just take it out of my portfolio that I show.... Thanks for all the honet (brutal.... just kidding) comments, that is what I was after... I was counting my mom and daughers in that 50%.....

I'm among the other half.

It's certainly different from the usual beach shot, and the angle of the horizon is so far off that it is obvious that this was your intention. Can I be in the undecided section between the two 50%s? ;)

Sorry, have to be with the 50% against.

Odd angles work with inanimate objects like cars, buildings, etc. I think for a nature shot, it should be presented as one would see it in real life (the perspective, that is...over-saturated colors or b/w not included. ;)).

I did the same thing with the photo below... When I was looking through the viewfinder, it seemed much more interesting than when I view it on my screen:

I like the shot, but agree that the angle doesn't work for me in this shot
