When I sit on the porch under the birdhouse, this fella sits impatiently on the peach tree waiting for me to leave.
Here are a couple of sites explaining the difference in this species and the black-capped chickadee:

Thanks, Tony. We always called these black-capped chickadees. They are so similar that the two species actually interbreed. They're cousins of the tufted titmouse.

That's a great picture. I had to do a double take since we have black-capped in our yard and I thought it was that as well. I had no idea that they were cousins of the tufted titmouse, thanks for the education

Thanks, Hali. I never could get the black and white head in focus with my old camera.
Your black-capped chickadees probably have a white patch on the wing just below the spot where I imagine its heart would be, and are slightly tan on the flank behind the leg.
