Hmmm...

people have been using slide makers to get quality color slides for presentations for the last ten years or so ... should be a similar technique and there should be a lot of companies (e.g. dtp studios) offering this service.

When I was still having my D60, I printed out a picture at A4 size. I copyed the A4 picture with a 6x6 medium format slide (using a coying stand). No one can tell it was a copy just by the look of the slide. I didn't make a print from the slide so I don't know how good would the print be.

Slide and prints will add more noise to the original file, but it may not make much difference to naked eye.
