DOF is so narrow in the first shot -- is it your 85? Also looks like the focus is on the hat instead of the eyes.

For the 2nd shot, crop out whatever that is on the left... Would be a great picture if she was looking into the camera...

I think you need about f/8 in both. My daughter steals my magazines too...:-D
