Great shot, although not crack sharp. Your L-zoom is able to produce better quality. Did you use tripod/monopod? Even with IS it helps.
Some extra sharpening around the eye will improve the shot.

CDS, you know I don't know what this bird it, I thought you were looking it up. LOL

henkbos, No I did not use a tripod, it is hard in the zoo too many people around, I wish I did. This is handheld but I think it came out pretty good anyway. Thank you for the comment though.
