Just purchased S2 and was wondering if anyone has used the Sakar LA-S2 barrel shaped lens adapter to attach 58mm filters. My main question can this be left on when powered off, or do you have to remove it. New to this forum so I will thank you in advance.

Umm I'm not too sure about your model, but I don't see why the lens adapter can't be left on while the camera is off. I've got an S3, and I leave the lens adapter on all the time with a UV filter.

If you have one, I would suggest never taking it off--added protection to the lens. I never take mine off (52mm lensmate)--there is really no reason, except for maybe if you have a certain filter on the end of it and you want to remove it very quickly--easier to remove the adapter then unscrewing a filter--a couple people around here use two adapters for this reason--one with this filter/converter attached to it, and the other with something else attached to it.

There is no real reason why you need to take it off
