Thanks Lisa...It was great fun being there ...the second is taken with a little canon IXUS 40 pocket camera...just can't get the same type of quality with it, but I don't take my better cameras on th small boats with me...some chance of getting them wet...especially with the Myles "boat monkey" on board...he's a mover, not a sitter...although getting better...I think a little fill flash would have helped #1...But the subject was fadding fast and a snap was all I could get..

nice looking shots, I like them both but #2 is my favoriteThanks Calicokat...he had just discovered that this trout had sizable teeth (for a fresh water fish) and it was still very much alive...lost his smile quite quickly!

Did you catch the fish? lol, I'd be worried about taking my camera on a wiggly ship too!Any more pics?Trolling flys (this was caught on a buck tail "red &white"...I thought he had a little brook trout on as it didn't make much of a fuss until it got near the boat...when it got there his pole nearly doubled over and the fish headed for the bottom..I wish I had my camera out for that shot...he was 100% fisherman at that moment...cranking away like he had a whale on!!

Go Myles!! I've never had a trout that big!! Ya..he does alright fishing...I use to have to tell him to quit yanking the rod all over the place while fishing, but apparently the motion attracts fish and he was catching three or four to every one that I would get...now I just shut my pie hole and watch him catch ! This fish is a togue, member of the trout family...they live in lakes and larger rivers here (always in good clear water)..They grow fast and can get quite large...20-25 # in a real big one..although this one is rather respectable for light gear and flies from shallow water......The record Togue (aka lake trout) in maine Was 31 # 8 oz........Caught when I was a kid...front page news in the Bangor Daily....

Excellent shots. Beautiful child.

As far as fishing is concerned, the few times I went, my friend who took me always warned me not to catch anything. Kind of ruins the whole day when you've got to handle a slippery fish and take it off the hook.

#3 is my favorite. It's called "death grip"...he is the master of holding the flopping fish...Myles has unusuall strong hands...I guess from the climbing he does..It was a great day,,, a great weekend actually...best weather we have had there in 7 years for Memorial day...He is more excited by this annual event than Christmas..by far !!

Wow..great shosts Peachman.

I just love freshwater fish...I'm so jealous. Reminds me of a shot I took of our friend's child. They asked me to take him along fishing when he was 4. He's handicapped (Downs Syndrome) and a terrific little kid. We sat on the dock and I showed him how to bait the hook. I turned my back for a second and next he's jumpin' up and down 'cos he'd hooked a big Bream. Trouble was, he'd lowered the line into the water through a slot in the boards of the dock!!! Picture was of him holding the line! :-)

Thanks for posting that...I'd forgotten all about that experience until I saw your shot. :-)
