Kart club day racing (8 pics)

Went out to the Go-Kart track where I used to race and had some shooting practice. I was lucky as one of the gates to the infield was left open. I didn't venture through it, but did stand in the opening to get some clear shots without any fencing in the way. :cool::D

Thanks. Yeah lucky for that guy it was just a bump. Unlike one poor kid earlier in the day that was taken to hospital after being catapulted out of his kart.

I like the framing but they dont convey a sense of speed.

Yeah, this was only my 2nd outing taking motorsport pics, so I concentrated on a fast shutter speed to get sharp pics. I thought better to get that right first and then try to get better speed-conveying shots another trip.

This one turned out to be a nice surprise with the rear wheels off the deck on both karts.

Cool shots. I like the last one you posted. To bad you had to shoot over the fence. A lower angle would have looked cool on that one.
