History brush

How come when I desaturate a shot then use the history brush to add some color back in the color is not the same as the originial? Any ideas? Using CS2.

Check that your brush blending mode is set to normal. You should see it on the bar just under the menu item for "Filter"

Thanks, that was it. I hit I wrong key when zooming and changed to darkening. Thanks again.
