Hi,

already posted that in another thread, but it might just be a question interesting enough to warrant a thread of its own:

Has anyone of you new 300D users thought about using Canon's wide angle conversion lens WC-58 on the 300D and the 18-55 kit lens?

It performs reasonably well on Canon's prosumer digicams (G1-G5) and has 58 mm threads (same as 18-55).

If the quality was acceptable (there will certainly be losses), than this would be a great way to get a 23 mm (35 mm equivalent) true wide angle lens.

This wideangle converters are designed to be used on G series digital cameras with smaller sensors than 10D & 300D. The image circle is not large enough and so vignetting occured.
