Pekka- I realize you are the admin, but perhaps you have pull with the programmers regarding this:

Can the topic name of the thread be included in the email notification as well, instead of just the thread ID #? That way, for those of us who watch several different threads, we realize which # belongs to what topic straight from the email?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim

Good point

Any way also of encouraging poster's to use the Subject as a way of giving at least a clue as to what's in the post? Things like "Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!" draw me in but are irritating if when I get there, it has no interest (especially with no broadband).

I agree w/ you - but unfortunately, not even the best of programs can make a user type what it wants you to type!!!

Non informative subjects are quite annoying - and I'm sure I'm probably guilty of it as well!!

Non-informative subject lines are frustrating.

These are not helpful:
Help!!!
Advice Needed
Problem

These are better:
Advice, 50mm lens choice
Focus problem on 10D
Help, problem shooting at night

The other frustration is when the poster does not mention the type of camera. Granted, we are all Canonites here, but there are lots of different digital cameras out there. Just mention 10D or D60 or something, and it is helpful.
