hi to all. I tried shooting hands, in fact two hands covered with red glitters (those teeny weeny particles that sparkles)

They are suppost so sparkle but i'm having a tough time making them to. My setup is 1 strobe light with a softbox diffuser only. What lens and aperture shall i use?

What's the technique to make the hands glitter or glow?

Do i shoot closer at a lower (bigger) aperture?

Your help is greatly appreciated to achieve such effect.

Thank you

If in doubt use F8 ISO 100 as your starting point. The tricks will probably be to use a large soft box and play with the angle of the light until you get the effect you're after. The modelling light should help a lot with this.

In a dark room, point a flashlight at the hands. Does everything glitter? I'll bet it's no. Hold the hands near a white wall & point the flash at the wall. Better?
