Here are some photos taken from the NSPL held at Ashford towards the end of a very wet May. The conditions were very difficult and the photos taken using the 100-400L with the IS definately on. Please let me know what you think :)

Nice shots, I hardly ever get to see shots from the UK. Shooting paintball in the rain is no easy task especially with those dark uniforms. One day the teams will learn that color will help them get published more often. I wish we had green fields like that (here in California most of the fields are dusty dirt) for a background.

#2 is sweet, I like the clear lenses you can see emotion from the player.
#5 is a great use of the mirrored lenses. The first few times I shot those I was accused of using photoshop. With the mist on the lenses it helps making it look real.

Thanks for shairing the shots, I am going to have to check out your site.

Thanks for the comments so far...

Yes, the more aggressive teams which played that day wore greys and greens. They then go and wear black goggles which make things even more challenging.

With the mirrored lense shot, the player took the peak off, for it as he thought it would look better (which it did), he then afterwards said "that photo better look good because I couldn't see by the end of the game". He was really happy when he saw it on the 'net though, and thats what counts.

Baldylox: The blue marker is a Proto Matrix 06.

the only thing i dont like about the mirror shots is i dont like seeing the photographers in the pictures. i think it looks better when you just see the reflection, and no photographer
