Rebel 300D at Dell

FYI...

Just spoke to a Dell salesperson while buying the 70-200 f/2.8 IS (see separate thread on great price!). He informed me that they are also selling 300D kits (with lens) for $999 minus a 10% discount that applies until 9/30/03. He said estimated ship date is 10/1. This camera is not listed on the Dell web site -- you must ask for it. They also stock about 4 Canon lenses.

I haven't checked the street prices on the 300D yet, but this sounds like a good deal.

I just talked to Jackie at Dell. She confirmed that the D-Rebel is available for purchase though they don't have a part # until Monday. The price is $999-10% plus no S/H charge. I'll get it on Monday, and the 550EX & battery grip at B&H.

I think I navigated the phone menu to personal as well.

You are a lot luckier than me as I'm not able to find a Dell rep who is even aware that Dell sells the Rebel (and no one that I've spoken with knows 'Jackie')!

So as soon as possible (as the 10% deal ends Tues/Wed), would you please check your invoice for Dell's part # and if it was sold to you by Dell's Home Division or Dell's Small Business Division, and post that info here.
