Cactus

So, obviously I'm an amateur...but here is one of my first shots for you all to critque. Be nice! :p

Looks like the cactus is growing from the rocks. :)
Closer may have been nice but I don't know if that was possible. The center of attention is literally in the center. Try a crop from the right side just at the edge of the rock and then some from the bottom. This should offset the image and take away some of the bushes. This would focus attention the cactus and rock more.
Good scenery. I'm sure you'll have more nice scenes to show in this area.

Yeah I couldn't get any closer, that pic was from quite a distance (and i have no telephoto lens yet) with a G3. Thanks for the cropping tips...I hadn't done anything with it, as that is the original shot.
