EOS 300 VS Rebel 2000

What is the difference between the Canon EOS 300 and the Rebel 2000. Are the two cameras basically the same thing.

There is no difference.
One is the USA model (the Rebel) and the other the rest of the world (except Japan) model.
The same is begining to happen in digital with the 300D and the Digital Rebel. Same camera, different markets.
In Japan those cameras are named EOS Kiss III/Kiss Digital.
