I was just wondering what determines the order in which member usernames are displayed in the "currently active users" section on the front page of the forum. Also, is the person looking at it always the first in the list?

Your user name will always be first (so you know where you are) and the rest is totally randome.

Yep the forum software have two settings for this. Alphabetical and random.

and people are complaining the marketplace uses up a lot of bandwidth?

saying that, if Ronald keeps up at his current rate he'll be at 20,000 after 3 years of membership.
