I read that there are some focussing issues with using the Sigma 10-20mm on the 30D. Does anyone know anything about this? Should I be worried?

No, don't worry about it. We're talking about a lot of people who squak. The Sigma gets rave reviews and represents a fantasic value. If you do have any problems, Sigma will fix it, and before that has to happen, the retailer will replace it.
Sigma does have some quality control problems (and so does every other company), but the optical quality and price is very hard to beat. BTW, all of the UWAs from 3rd companies have been received very well.
Outdoor Photorgrapher ran an article last month about the lens choices of various photographers. One of them said the Sigma 10-20. The only 3rd party lens mentioned.

It also won Best Consumer Lens from a major photo mag but I can't seem to remember which.
