My A70 (not an A60 as the thread title would indicate but that's probably irrelevant) is giving me a memory card error. I tried to re-format the memory card, but after the re-formatting seemed to be in progress for a while I got an E50 (I think that's what it was) and the camera shut down. I thought it was strange that the memory card was recognized by my computer (via a flash drive or whatever you call it that reads the memory cards) but not the camera. Still, I assumed that the memory card was corrupt. Not the case. I went out and bought a new memory card, only to have the same problem.
The error, which used to read "Memory Card Error" when the camera was booted up, now says "No Memory Card". The Format option is no longer available. Looks like a failure to recognize the card. Has this been a common problem? If it isn't a bad card then what is it? Some sort of sensor issue?
