Some fly shots. #1 and 3 are natural light shots taken with the 105mm EX others are with the MPE-65.

Picture fly showing wing pattern and body shape unfortunately by the time I'd got the MPE-65 out it was on the underside of a leaf above my head.

Except for the 3rd one (Fore focused), these are excellent macro works.

Great shots Brian, I agree with Samsen #3 makes my eyes go a bit funny but I gues its worth it for those eyes.

Thanks for the comments- agree about #3 but thought it worth posting as I have never seen eye colour like it before. Trying to find it again to get some better shots :)

Dave the picture fly was about 6mm body length - not one of the miniature flies.

Ahh, thanks. It was larger than I thought, for some reason I was thinking 2-3mm. Not sure why I was thinking that...
