Lenses (non canon) that fit canon lens adapter

I have searched but, have not found this info. I am presently in Japan and have a canon adapter but, would like to know what 58mm lenses do and do not fit that adapter. Do all 58 mm lenses fit ant 58mm adapter? Is that a universal thing?

Yes, any 58mm lens WILL fit the adapter, but with varying results. Take a look at this site, and look at their comparison shots.http://lensmateonline.com/

Although it is from the time when the G2/G3 was the apex of Canon's compact digital cameras, the lens design of the G5/G6 should be very similar and work great with the adapters outlined there.
