I’m disappointed with the fit of my L series lens to the body. When locked in place the lens is not a tight fit and I can turn it. Does anyone else have this problem?

I never had that problem, but I was using the IS version.

um, whats your relative definition of "turn"?...
yes when the lens is mounted there is tiny amounts of "wiggle room" and i mean maybe 5mm worth of wiggle room. This may seem like a lot but really i've never mounted a lens and had it have a death grip on its mount.

nope....mine seems pretty snug. I can see how the mount would wear out though.

I have a 20D and 70-200 2.8L. I can move it literally 1/100th of an inch, so its not like its anchored in concrete. It can move barely.

Both my lenses are snug fits, don't move at all.

It's when they fall off is when you worry lol. But dont worry about, if it gets worse, I would send it in or check on it.

Define wiggle....as in the rings seperate? or do you mean that once you have mounted it into place you can turn it back a little bit....if the former I would be worried if the latter I wouldn't worry...all my lenses do it and it doesn't affect the image...which should be our main concern

check the little screws on the lens mount, make sure they are in properly they can come a bit loose after a while

There HAS to be a little bit of clearance when the lens is mounted, it is a fundamental factor of the EF mount design. Unlike the FD mount.
