Hi, my mom has an A70 powershot and it finally died. She wants a new camera and wants to upgrade. Any suggestions.Guess I should add, she wants another compact. Thanks. I tolds her to look at the Pro 1.HEHE :)

Point her at the A610 or A620. They're running around $200-$240 at the big NY shops. If she wants to stay with CF cards, she'll have to look a bit further though. The A-series now use SD cards.

The A95 was the last camera to use CF cards, but any of the A5xx or A6xx cameras are good (except for the A510 and 520, they are much older cameras.)

or consider an Ixus/SD model
