Hi,

All these pictures are quite nice. they are well exposed and otherwise technically acceptable.

The street shots, I feel, are good records of the scene, but not particularly inspiring. They probably have more value as a memento of your trip.

On the other hand the waterfall has quite a lot of drama and power about it and the light was favourable, giving a warm tint and reflecting nicely on the rocks. It is also well exposed, no burnt out highlights in the water.

A good way to judge a picture is to think 'Would I hang this on my wall?' and the waterfall is the one I would choose.

The photographs are quite huge. Seriously hampers any viewing by someone with dial up. They likely would just skip it. If you want large photos, think about a regular 600 pixel across "thumbnail" and a link for the larger image.

You can barely see the folks in the shadows on the right side of the street. (This might be fixable with a graphics editing program.)

The water fall shot is really very nice.

The electric bus wires add alot to the shot. Too bad there's only a gas (or battery) bus.

The bottom shot has that ugly pole wasting the right side of the shot. Rather upsets the shot.

Please post your pictures in such a format that they fit on the screen. Now it is quite hard to get a good look at your shots.
Some comments though:
#1: shot lacks main subject. This street scene isn't very interesting to me. Right side is too dark and has not enough detail
#2: nice shot, but the contrast and brightness can use a little boost here. Try to crop a little from the bottom.
#3: nice street scene. Like the conflict between the wires and the old buildings. Picture is slightly tilted to the left though. Crop a little from the bottom to get rid of the boring tarmac.
#4: I assume it was you intention to frame the shot on the left and right? The tower and post take too much away of the center of the shot. I would like to see more of the little bridge as well. Picture is tilted to the left.

Quite a few of these things can be fixed by post processing of your pictures (a MUST). Overall your pictures are not tack sharp (motion blur?) and a little noisy.

First post? Don't worry, these are good efforts and we all had to learn a lot.

You covered quite a lot in one weekend!

1. Landesmuseum opposite the Zurich Bahnhof? Better taken from the right side of the street to capture the castle-like features of the museum.
2. ?
3. ?
4. Luzern? Guess you took this from the wide new bridge and tried to squeeze a lot in. Perhaps it is better to choose between the hotel, tower and covered bridge as to what you want to feature.
