MEE TOO!
I am interested in doing many different things with my new XT kit, so that i can learn what i might have a knack for or particular interest in...
I am really just burning to take a million pictures. Could you explain a few basics about this style for me to play around with?
Thx a ton!

1) you need a dark room
2) set your shutterspeed to 10 seconds (play around with this)
3) Set ISO to 100 so you won't see yourself
4) I like the aperture wide open
5) use the timer so you can ready yourself and turn off the lights.
6) I use something that has an LED light as a light pen..cellphones are nice too.
7) Go crazy!!! post your results here!

Might something like a glow sick be bright enough, in leiu of a LED? my little brother used to tie a couple glowies on the ends of a shoelace, and whip them around in figure 8's like a maniac, that might have a really cool effect.
Hmmm.. ill definately try this nest time i need to shoot and its raining.
THx!

Well guys, i finally decided to dredge up this old post, after having some playtime during our recent typhoon.
I enlisted the help of my lovely wife, at first she was against the idea. Then she saw what her light drawing yielded as a finished product, with the tips from you guys above. She ended up loving it (and being really good at it if i might say so)
C+C are very welcomed, although it was just for fun, no real skill involved... heh.
have a look, let me know what you think.
