Took this one today. I tried to be different with the cropping here and create a feeling of scale between the house and cloud. I realise it could be a tad sharper but please overlook that if you can and concentrate on the composition and lighting. :)

Martin.

Very nice. I like how the same bright tone is echoed from the house to the cloud, and how the cloud matches the sunlit area on the gound...

Well done. I wouldn't change a thing (except as you noted, and the house seems overexposed on the bright wall.)

Very nice. I would like to be able to see this without having to scroll though. Verticals are hard - you want the impact to be seen but then it is lost when it is too big when the photo is too big to be seen all at once.

This is a challenging picture

(don't worry about the over exposure on the house and maybe a touch of sharpeneing, which are easily fixed)

This has all the elements - a good subject, good lighting, drama, good colours etc.

I feel as if I should like it and I do, but still it just seems a little wrong somehow - sorry

I think perhaps it is a question of balance, the top and bottom are both very powerful and so there is a gap in the middle.

It is still a very nice picture nonetheless and thankyou for making me think about it so much.

I will be very interested to hear what other people think.

The space in the middle does not bother me, actually I think that wide band of negative space actually connects the powerful lower and upper elements.

Dunno... seems like the whole content is pouring out to the left. Perhaps if you rotated the original slightly to the right and cropped again leaving a tad more at the bottom, it would invite the viewer more into the scene.

I love the Toscana feel of the scene, the proportions between sky and earth, the qualities of light.

I feel it is good that the architecture of the house is unidentifiable so that you don't know where you are, what country, what latitude. Just strolling in peace.

My kind of shot! Well seen and well captured, great compo.
Points to improve:
- sharpness (already mentioned)
- less noise
- light on the house is a little harsh
Minor things though.
