If you want a narrow black border, then do this:
Ctrl/A to make a selection of the whole image
Edit->Stroke
Specify the width and colour of the border, Location "inside"
Click on OK
A wide border can be made easily:
Set the background colour to black
Image->Canvas Size
Increase the width and height dimensions by twice the black border width required
Click on OK

How have you got on with ps7 so far? Have you used any of the earlier photoshops? Just curious really, i'm looking at buying ps7 (I have ps6 at the moment).
Thanks

I have got on fine with Photoshop V7, but for my own purposes I don't think it's much of an improvement over V6. However, V8 will be available fairly soon and I think that that will then be a worthwhile upgrade from V6.

I have V6 and V7 I use V6... V7 runs so slow on my PIII 500mhz machine, mainly... but V7 has some improvements... but deffinently not worth upgrading to with V8 (cs) coming out.
