This is a rather ordinary shot of Neil Hodgson braking hard for turn 9 at Infineon... I thought I would try to make something interesting with it... I may have suceeded... but on the other hand this may have gone horribly wrong!
Critic and commentary are welcome.

Well, I think it's sweet ... great job.

Nice effect. Gives a sense of speed to what I think may have been a static original image.

Rob, I really like the action in the photo but the post processing doesn't do it for me. The colors don't bother me at all but I don't like the almost translucent boarder of the leathers and tires.

Fair enough.
It was your basic stop-action shot nothing special. I was feeling experimental with layers. Would it look better if it was green bike ? :-)

Hahaha...no...the color has nothing to do with it for me. I love'em all!
I guess to me there is just nothing wrong with showing that shot as it came out of the camera. While the photographers may analize and say that it's just a plain old photo of a bike and the shutter speed is too fast and blah blah blah...to me it tells many more things that have nothing to do with photography. As I motorcycle rider I appreciate this photo for what Niel is doing in it. He's clearly at the limit and it's done nothing to faze him. I don't need a special effect to like this photo because what the rider is doing is special...

Well the original was soft and I would never show it!!!
But of course as a biker your appreciation will be different than a non-biker... When are we going to see your green bike in action? But I guess getting the self timer to work would be a bitch!!!
