While we are all sitting here on the edges of our seats waiting to see if a 70-200 L IS for $1169 really is too good to be true, let's do something to pass the time.
What kind of camera bag do you like and recommend?
I have used a Canon compact shoulder bag for my A-1 for years but opted to order Canon's backpack for my new 10D. Now that the order is placed and after looking at a nice little Tenba P534 bag, I'm wondering if I chose the best bag. Comments?
Fogive me if this topic has been discussed before but I have no finger nails left worrying about my Dell order.....

In this post 9-11 era, security is No. 1 concern, especially when traveling to a foreign country. Even without terrorists, many robbers constantly target American tourists.
I do not want others even to suspect that I carry cameras. So one or two cameras are packed in individual bags, and put in a generic backpack. This may not be the "best" in physical sense, but is the safest, and to me that is the best.

hmmm ... maybe they dont target american tourists, maybe they target cameras ;)
there are also some ISO bags that look like regular backpacks but contains everything to protect your stuff. Think also about rain and dust, whatever bag you choose.

For traveling relatively light, I use the LowePro Off Road. It is a belt pack style that I like for several reasons:
1. I can still carry a regular backpack for other items
2. I can swing it around to the front for easy access
3. I can mount my large Canon lens cases to the side attachments
4. A tripod/monopod can be mounted to the bottom straps (although I prefer to carry it on my backpack)
While I really like this bag for short day hikes, it definitely screams "I'm full of camera equipment" and probably is not your best choice if concerned about theft.
