Hi,
I'm new to Canon Digital Forums and posted an image in the 'Photo Sharing' section in People. My posted title is: Children with Civil War Muskets (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=177172). I did this 24 hours ago.
Not one person added comment about my image although it was veiwed 70 times. I see that almost every other image posted on the board had at least one or more comments.
I'm just wondering what I did wrong not to have been acknowleged?
Thank you for you help.

Welcome (really, I mean it). I often view pictures without commenting because I don't feel particularly qualified. My comments generally have to do with my emotions on seeing the photo or its artistic merits and I don't do it too often. There are probably a lot of people like me that look but don't comment. Don't take it too hard. Keep posting, people will comment. I'll go check out your previous post.:)

Thank you Saralonde. That was really nice of you to critique my image. Also, someone else did too. The sun was setting at the time and through my eyes the sun didn't seem too harsh. There were too many distractions to the left of the boys so thats why more of the Golden Gate Bridge got left out. When I made prints of that image, the school staff really liked it. I agree with your critique and with the other person. I need more experience and patients for my work.
Thanks again. I really like the nice people here on these forums. Maybe it's because we're Canon users! :D
There were too many snobs  on rec.photo.digital.slr-systems so I came here.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Like Sara mentioned, there are times that I hop on and view someones work without leaving comments --mainly due to the fact that I'm a relative newb (don't mind my post count ;-) ) and am still learning more and more of the techniques.
Will hop on over to have a look at your work.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Don't take it too hard about someone not responding to your post. I've had several posts that didn't recieve any feedback. That's one of the problems with a forum that is as busy as this one is. If you look at the other posts that did receive feedback, you will see that there were a lot more views than there were feedback posts. It's just because things slip off the first page relatively quickly when the forum is busy. Don't take it to heart! Keep posting and responding to other's posts and you will get the feedback you are looking for!

I didn't see your thread. I don't really comment on every thread I click on. When I feel I can make a good improvement or a good comment, I usually say something. Also, Maureen isn't around, in Europe, and she's usually really good about commenting on such. She's a Moderator here. I miss her, can't wait till she gets back on. But you shouldn't be too upset. I've posted many times and have few comments, but that's okay. I never got my feelings hurt, but it is nice to get comments, whether helpful or not. Maybe you should post something awful, you'll hear a lot of comments then. :) Just kidding.
