thank you very much My porsche and Ianfp, , love feedback, i deleted the noisy picture, i used 17-85 IS I think you have it:) Ian,hope you are enjoying the 17-40L, cheers:)

The 17-40L is great on the few shots I have taken - bright colours and good sharpness. The 17-85 IS is very close in terms of IQ but the IS and additional zoom do make it more useful as a walkabout lens!
