Does anyone use this combination? I used a highly modified trash bag last weekend to protect from the rain, but I would rather use a more durable solution. I need to protect a 1dmkII and 70-200 IS.

My first choice is the E-702, but I'm afraid I will have to get the E-704 as well to fit the 70-200...is this the case? I'd rather not spend $110 on a rain cover, so if the E-702 doesn't fit, I'm getting a storm jacket.

Thanks for the help!

can't help you there buddy but i findd it funny that you ask about rain cover to protect one of the few combos that is totally weather sealed

It just doesn't feel right to use anything that expensive in pouring rain. I know it will resist water...but I don't know if it can get completely soaked. I don't want to test it :)

I also don't have/want any filters, and a filter is necessary to completely seal it off.

The E-702 will handle the Canon 70-200 with no problems. The lens doesn't extend so there's no length problem. And there's plenty of room in the back for the body.
