I'm using an 420Ex with my G1 but I just can use it on P and Auto mode. Please give me some hints & tips for using this flash, thx!

Hi manman,
In Tv mode EX flash acts as "fill-in" (slow-sync) which means that the camera exposes just like without the flash, but the flash fills in the shadows and freezes movement. Try Tv mode in 1/20- 1/50 time indoors, you'll see you'll have sharp photos handheld, and photos look much more natural than in than in P or Auto mode (I never use those...the camera deserves some attention :) ).
And always bounce the flash from white or "colorless" surface.

Thanks a lot, Pekka! I love your photos, they're great and when I show them to my wife, she don't believe they were took by G1! I'm trying to learn something that can improve my technique from your photos. Anyway thanks again.
