So I got the chance to shoot a wedding, mostly the photo journalistic side of things and got 60 shots and some will be used for the book. My hats off to wedding photogs more now than ever!! That was one long day! I had alot of blurry pics from shutter drag and my flash and I rarely saw eye to eye. Lots of over exposed pics. Any way my question being, what settings do you guys use? I bounced back and forth with manual and ap priority. What about flash? I have an xt and mostly used the tammy 28-75 2.8 with flash bracket and 580 ex flash. Any input appreciated.

Thank you

Ben

I tend to shoot manual, using a hand held meter. FEC set to somewhere between -1 and -2 as fill. If the flash is used as the main light I usually get it off the camera, with an umbrella, or sometimes I bounce it if i'm in a hurry.

As a novice to wedding photography, I also watch my histogram after most shots. That helps me to set the FEC.
